BMG GENERAL GROUND RULES
No hard-selling
No hard-pitching
No "Me Monsters"
* A "ME MONSTER" is someone who cannot stop talking about themselves and has no awareness or consideration for others' existence. We find these folks to be rather peculiar, but they DO exist and walk among us.
No Drama
No Ego
No Entitlement
And
Let’s keep this a Judgemental-Free Zone.
CONCERNS FOR "RONA"
So..., "RONA" continues to be annoying and linger. We understand and respect everyone having mixed feelings about the awkward situation such as "to mask or not to mask?" or "to network or not to network?"
Although, most of our folks are not OVERLY concerned especially if/when they're pretty health-conscious, have strong immune systems, are respectful of oneself and others, AND are responsible and intelligent human beings who we expect to make the "right decisions" for themselves.
Not only many have already caught the little sucker virus, recovered and survived from it; and/or got their vaccines and cannot wait to get over this overly sensationalized situation.
Naturally, we continue to honor, adhere and adjust to the CDC’s recommended rules and regulations, as well as adapting to each different region of the country and States on however phases and stages they are at, in response to COVID.
We OBVIOUSLY are and have taken all possible precautions to ensure the health and safety of all our attendees - you know, all the basics like, obsessively washing hands, using hand sanitizers and wearing masks. All of which you’re all too familiar with and are probably kinda tired of by now. So we don’t want to waste anymore energy repeating things you already know or expect, but, we do want to emphasize the most important thing we believe all our interested participants should be aware of in regards to attending any of our BMG Gathering and Summit Series:
HERE’S THE DEAL...
If you have any concerns, sense of fear or worries about coronavirus - then it is suggested that you shouldn’t be considering attending our gatherings (or any other group events) until you feel “safe”.
It’s really that simple. We have no need to twist anyone’s arms to attend our gatherings and respectfully expect all brilliant minds to know and make decisions based on what’s best and right for themselves.
It is also important for you to know that in Utah State, the Governor has ordered for the “mask mandates” to be lifted starting April 10th, 2021. Hence, we will not be requiring our attendees to wear face coverings at our gatherings yet, welcome those who feel the need to or should.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUND POLICY
As it continues to be an uncertain time and anything can change in a heartbeat. We understand life also changes and happens and it’s hard to determine what could change or take place as we get closer to each event. Although we do not issue any refunds once a registration has been made, we do offer all of our registered guests the flexibility to carry over any existing registration credit to a future BMG event in the case of sudden change of plans or circumstances. If you have registered and paid for a certain Summit for example, but ended up not being able to attend that particular Summit; your credit will be automatically credited to a future Summit of your choice.
BE KIND, RESPECTFUL AND THOUGHTFUL
Hopefully in the new year of 2021, everything and everyone won't be as easily irritating or offended like how 2020 was. Please be mindful and respectful of everyone's personal beliefs, perspectives and value systems; TRY avoid deliberate conversations that revolve around strong (BORDERLINE BULLYING) political, racial or religious views, comments and/or opinions. Simply put, DON'T GO THERE.
BRINGING PLUS 1’S OR SPOUSE
These BMG Think Tank Summits are always a full-blown entrepreneurs networking event; hence, we do not recommend bringing non-business-driven or non-entrepreneurial plus-1’s or spouses to attend especially if they're super shy. Mostly because we do not want them to feel bored or feel the pressure to talk to people. Not everyone likes to network or are outgoing that way and we want to respect that and prevent any social awkwardness.
Having said that, if your partner or spouse is highly social and outgoing; is an extrovert and enjoys talking and mingling with others, he or she is definitely welcome to join us. Just make sure you warn them that this could be life-altering with potential breakthroughs and new enlightenments. A light discount is offered for any double admissions.
NOT A DATING PLATFORM
We hate having to even bring this up; but… BMG is NOT Match or Tinder dot com. It's totally creepy to try to hit on people at a professional event like this. Regardless of how ridiculously attractive we are; pretty pretty please be a Cool Cat, and not a Creepy Cat.
SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS OR RESTRICTIONS
It is crucial for you to inform us if you have any special dietary needs or restrictions. Please be sure to make a note under the dietary needs section when you register for the event so we can try our best to accommodate your needs. Please also communicate with our onsite caterers and/or hosting vendors should you have any questions regarding any of the foods being served.
WANT TO SPEAK OR PRESENT AT THE BMG THINK TANK
All BMG events are designed to maximize networking rather than listening to speakers like most typical conferences. We very rarely have speakers "speak"; nor do we ever pay for speakers to speak at our events. Like we've shared earlier: You're both the Speaker and the Teacher; Audience and the Student :)
That's why, all attendees will be required to do a short 5-7 minutes” TANKTalk” presentation to people at their table. This will be your opportunity to share your unique experiences and expertise.
SPONSORSHIP
Unlike most conferences and events, BMG does not accept your typical sponsorships. Why? Because the most awesome aspect about BMG is for its sales and pitch-free environment. We never look for sponsors for our events as we do not want to steal precious time from YOU - who have invested to be at our event because you don’t want to be pitched to. At BMG, we like to remain neutral and support all the brands and businesses of all our community members.
THE PRE-EVENT ASSIGNMENT
You will be required to do some “assignments” before attending the event - including preparing a 7-minutes TEDTalk style presentation; except that we call it a "TANKTalk." You will be presenting to your group (at your table) with this presentation - SUPER FUN!!!
More details regarding the assignments will be included in your Pre-Tank Orientation Kit aka. “The Think Ahead” which will be sent to you after you've registered and secured your seat.
THIS IS (SERIOUSLY) A PRIVATE/BY-INVITATION-ONLY EVENT
As much as some of our BMG events may appear like a "goofy fun party" - please note that this is a full-blown + serious professional networking event specifically curated for entrepreneurs and founders. It is set in a very "chillaxed and social" tone... But it is not for the faint of heart or individuals who are overly reserved and unwilling to be open, transparent and sometimes vulnerable.
To help us maintain and honor the integrity, chemistry and quality of our events, please refrain from sharing this event publicly or with others without the approval from the hostess.
The last thing we want is to have to turn people away due to incompatible chemistry or culture.
Should there be any other Cool Cats you wish to invite who you believe to fit the profile of what we're looking for at BMG, please contact Madame Williams (aka. Sandra Fan) to ensure it is the right fit and for us to send them a formal invitation.
OR you can simply nominate them by going HERE.
SENSE OF HUMOR & OPEN-MINDEDNESS REQUIRED
Last but not least, don't forget to bring your "Funny Bone", goofy self and be ready to let your hair down to have fun!
Any questions regarding any of the items mentioned, please feel free to contact us at hello@bmgthinktank.com
